Designed to assess durability of zip fasteners according to DIN 3490. The zipper chain is opened and closed under transversal and longitudinal strain. Afterwards, the loss of mechanical strength is assessed by examining the cross-lateral strength. The machine is suitable for testing all commercially available zip fasteners. The machine comes with 18 weights to carry out different tests.
