For testing of ignitability of electrotechnical products.
The device is used to determine the refractory properties of electrotechnical end prpducts and materials according to DIN EN 6695-2-10. The glow wire simulates a strongly heated power cables as a fire source. The temperature at the filament is measured range of 400ºC - 1000ºC. During the test, the specimen is moved to the filament at a speed of approximately 11mm/s, with the specimen to the filament can be set variably via a timer. After expiry of the test time, the specimen carriage is automatically moved back. The rms value of the current flowing through the filament is indicated by a current transformer with display. The specimen carriage is pulled by weights to filament with a force of 1 N during the test.
Speciemns from 50 x 120mm to 10 x 120mm can be clamped in the specimen holder. The specimen thickness can be a maximum of 20mm. The power supply is provided via device connection 230 VAC (50/60Hz)
