Tests of the properties of textile materials in response to brief contact with a small flame.

A defined flame from a specified burner is directed for 10 s onto the surface or lower edge of vertically arranged textile samples. The spread of the flame and the afterglow, as well as the formation of particle detachments, burning particle detachments or a hole shall be recorded. The after-burn and after-glow times shall be recorded.
